I came to Grief Recovery as a result of the sudden, unexpected death of my husband, who died during a “safe and easy” surgical procedure. His loss broke my heart and the hearts of our children, who were then in high school.
After two years of managing my grief and my children’s grief on my own, I learned of the Grief Recovery Method – and I jumped in to take the training to become a leader. While I expected to process the loss of my husband in training, I learned that grief encompasses so much more. At the suggestion of my trainer and my training partner, I decided to spend the training period working on the grief surrounding another relationship in my life, a relationship in which the person was still living. Finding completion with the grief of a disappointing long-term, ongoing relationship opened my eyes to all the ways Grief Recovery could improve my life. I have since processed the grief I have for the loss of my husband, and while I love him and miss him, I have been able to move past that loss and back into life.
I have been working as a Grief Recovery Method Specialist since early 2020, and in that time I have also become certified as an Advanced Grief Recovery Method Specialist. I am certified to help you with your grief in small classes (no more than 15 participants), one-on-one, in-person and online. I can also teach you to help your children – or children with whom you work – process their grief.
